Get ready Imperial Valley!!

A new generation of Thought Leaders is being born right here in humble Brawley, California. Having collaborated with the California Arts Council once upon a time and dabbled in freelancing for mainstream media these last few years, I can tell you that what makes People’s Press different is, well—almost everything!

But I believe you should decide that for yourself. We don’t have to tell you what to think

WHAT WE ARE…

NONPROFIT – Finally, a business that truly puts People over profits! That means we are eligible to apply for some pretty cool grants and your donations are always tax deductible. Plus, we don’t have to pander to advertisers and perpetuate the tired Right versus Left narrative.

GRASSROOTS – Founded by journalists, for journalists. One day, we want to be able to pay writers what we wish we would’ve been paid. Quality, ethics, and attention to detail shouldn’t be a cost that comes at our own expense. It should be both expected and respected.

CITIZEN JOURNALISM – Anyone who told you there were two sides to every story probably wasn’t ever a journalist. There are actually so many perspectives that the only way to get the Truth is to ask everyone you can. With this in mind, if you’re willing to say it we’re willing to listen.

We proudly accept story submissions from Authentic, Courageous, and Compassionate community members just like you. Raise awareness for a cause, shout-out a small business for a job well done, add to your resume, or simply share a little bit about a local person or experience that made an impression on you.
