Alright fam! We’ve got a new kind of story for you here, and it’s one that many of us can probably relate to. Myself included 🩺👨🏻‍⚕️❓

Our newest Citizen Journalist, Jessica Kenagy, courageously shared her ongoing battle with a mysterious invisible illness that has taken her on a rollercoaster of emotions. From feeling isolated from her classmates in high school, to grinding through college at IVC and NAU only to be left with one question:

What now?

Not all stories in life have pretty, Hallmark movie endings. Some are neither here nor there, a work of art still in the making 🤔💭

So here’s to Jessica for paving the way for radical authenticity, and opening up the doors for others like her to share their story with People’s Press, no matter where they are in life. Give this girl some props, will ya!! 🥳🎓

Shoutout to IVC professors Rick Epps and Professor Staton, and Head of the Disabled Students Program and Services, Norma Nava, for humanizing higher education and creating an atmosphere that remains approachable for all ♿️🙌🏽
