Prestige Event Center celebrates grand reopening after years of closure

HEBER — The Prestige event center had a grand opening after being operational years ago, last weekend on Janurary 20. Jason Heisel, one of the owners of the building, and Michael Nehas, property owner, both decided to reopen it. The process started last year around June or July.

The event featured a mixer and opening to the public. Music acts performed that evening, country band Big Bad Wolf and DJ Taterwulf.

Heisel has been involved in organizing events in Imperial Valley for over 20 years. He has experience opening bars in various locations, bringing in artists like Snoop Dogg and E-40.

Their plans are to “to provide great place for people to do their events and provide entertainment for the Imperial Valley and great food for the city of Heber. And everybody around, come get great steaks and mariscos,” said Heisel.

The venue is now open as a restaurant on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with events on Fridays and Saturdays. Karaoke is held on Thursday nights.
