Roman Flores is a seasoned journalist, editor, and musician from Imperial Valley, California, with over a decade of experience in local and faith-based media. A graduate of Marywood University with a degree in Communications, Roman’s career has spanned reporting, editing, and broadcasting across respected outlets including The Imperial Valley Press, The Desert Review, The Southern Cross, and the National Catholic Reporter.

Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for People’s Press, Roman continues his mission to elevate community voices through authentic storytelling rooted in cultural awareness, spirituality, and regional pride. Outside the newsroom, Roman is co-manager and performer with Mariachi Aurora de Calexico, blending his passion for music, heritage, and faith.
