As it turns out, this phenomenon has just about TAKEN OVER the county—honestly, maybe the country—and it’s all thanks to a group of funky fanatics now officially known as the 
Imperial Valley Pickleball Association
This group has had a really organic start 
growing from just a few friends trying to stay active after retirement to a lively bunch of residents of all ages with a WhatsApp chat nearly 100 strong 
And now that they’ve obtained nonprofit status, members are trying to raise funds to expand the amount of dedicated Pickleball courts to better accommodate a range of schedules
